Unit 4 Myths

Myth of Zeus, Poseidon & Hades: Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades were the three sons of Cronos. When Cronos retired, the boys divided the world up between them. Zeus took the sky, Poseidon took the sea, and Hades ruled under the earth, the home of the dead.  



AMYMONE:
Amymone was one of the Danaids. Her father had sent her to draw water from a spring when a satyr saw her and pursued her. Poseidon hard her cry for help, loved her and saved her from the satyr. With his trident he made her honor the spring which bears her name.


Zeus: Is the bravest, strong god of the greek gods. He leads all the gods his enemy is Hades the underworld god and his brother Poseidon the god of water.
